Depends on if he does well or if he sucks. I have a hard time believing a guy would take a job knowing he is just keeping the seat warm, but as ruthless as the GM and Coach appear to be and as hungry as they seem to be to win, if Pendergast sucks this year, I wouldn't put it out of the realm of possibility...

i think there is a high probability that Crennel is on our staff next year....i bet pendergast already knows it....

He took a job with the Chiefs, not knowing what his job title would be. The pay should be nice.

I bet Pendergrast was hire as an assistant DC and is only filling in.

I'd love to have him as a consultant while he recovers and then if Pendergast shits himself we've got a great replacement ready to go.
