Motion blur?

As some of you may know I've been in the market for a new TV. Went to Best buy today and was talking to a salesman, he said motion blur can be a problem on LCDs. Said I really needed to pay attention to the hZs. Is it worth it to shell out the money for 120hZ or is motion blur something you really don't notice unless your really picky. You guys were extremely helpful last time so I figured I'd ask again. Thanks in advance.

Refresh rate. Sometimes the motion of movies, sports, and gaming, is so quick that the pixels cannot keep up. I can't explain it in technical terms. Plasmas are better in this area.

What do you think of this one?

I'm going to use this thing mainly for watching sports, playing some video games (not a lot) and of course the occasional movie and television show. I'm also living in an apartment with a decent amount of light although I think I'll be able to make it dark if need be. Is there any reason I shouldn't buy this TV? http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1218065984669

Sounds like an awesome deal. I know it's 720p but 600hZ sounds pretty sick and the contrast is 2,000,000:1.

I just bought a 42" Panasonic plasma a little over a week ago and I couldn't be happier. No blur, the picture is much clearer than my Samsung LCD was, and it was really cheap.

I don't see why everyone's afraid of Plasmas. They're superior in almost every way to LCD now.

In summary, YES. You won't regret it.

That is nearly identical to mine, only mine is 1080p.

The light won't bother you unless you have a light shining directly on the screen. Panasonic plasmas aren't much worse than any other TV, but it is something to keep in mind.
