NFL Rumors: Vick to possibly back up Cassel
 

Anybody have access to ESPN insider? If so, please post! There is a link on the front page of ESPN. Of course it's probably just what it says though, a rumor.

FREE AGENCY: Two jump in for Vick?
Michael Vick | Falcons | Interested: Packers? Patriots? Ravens? The Titans, Ravens and Chiefs might be the only teams interested in signing Michael Vick. That's what ESPN's John Clayton said on ESPN Radio's Brock and Salk when pressed about NFL teams' interest in the troubled quarterback. There was no mention of the Packers or Patriots, which is contrary to prior reports. The Packers have had "legitimate discussions" of signing Michael Vick, sources told the Wisconsin State Journal. But GM Ted Thompson hardly made it seem like they were this interested when he said he was open to the possibility.

Also, Patriots coach Bill Belichick said he'd be open to the possibility of bringing in Vick, although Pats owner Robert Kraft said he has no interest.

I think Vick would be lucky to back up Matt Guttierez at this point.

Only reason they say this cause the chiefs havent commented out right to say no to vick....

If Cassel is as good as they say we have no need for vick. Charles can handle our wildcat formations just fine.

What if he was brought in as an emergency quarterback (#3) but his primary duties were kick and punt returns with a handful of special offensive packages?

I'd take him over Brokie.
