WTF? Medlock tearing it up?
I know next to nothing about Canadian Football.
Can somebody tell me if this is impressive? http://www.arrowheadpride.com/2009/8...medlock-update Justin Medlock Update by saskwatch on Aug 18, 2009 10:25 AM CDT 28 comments, 28 new I don't know if anyone cares, but Herm and Carl's kicker from last year is now kicking in the CFL with the Toronto Argonauts. On Friday, Medlock went 7 for 7 with 3 kicks over 50 yards in a 36-28 loss to the BC Lions. Through 7 games Justin Medlock is 18/19 (94.7 %) and has not missed a field goal inside 50 yards. Kickers quite often bounce around before figuring it out, and I won't be suprised to see Medlock in the NFL again in the future. |
With the current exchange rate, that only comes out to 85.5% in American footballs.

22 points as a kicker? Herm would have been irate with this arena league bullshit

SIGN 'EM SCOTT!

Still pissed we didn't take Crosby.

It would be impressive, but a Canadian yard is just 18 inches. So, most his kicks were from 24 American yards out. But the goal post in Canadian football is also at the 10 yard line, so these were just 14 American yard kicks.

The Chiefs coaching staff tried to change his kicking style completely which really hurt him obviously. I wouldn't doubt if the Canadians are letting him kick however he wants.

Yeah, it's a common misperception due to a geographical quirk. They only look the same size because Canadian fields are often shown on TV without using Mercator projections. |
Look, to draft a kicker and cut him after one game is ridiculous. Young kickers take time to develop into consistent guys, and if you draft someone, you have to realize that. Herm Edwards has no clue as to how to develop a football player.
It's good to see the kid bouncing back. Here's to a successful stint here by Ryan Succop... |

Wasn't there a thread just a week or so ago where he missed a relatively easy FG to win the game? We won't miss him.
