The Deal is possibly Dead.

From "the source"
Thigpen was evaluated by the team Doctors yesterday. This wasn't a scheduled evaluation or appointment. The visit was to see if in their opinion Thigpen will be fully healed within 2 weeks and send those results to another doctor. He won't be healed in 2 weeks. The doctors think another 4 weeks until fully healed.

Speculation: Arizona wanted a gaurantee that Thigpen would be fully healed within 2 weeks before pulling the trigger on the Bouldin trade.

Take it for what its worth....

Cracked ribs have ruined many a career.... This makes no sense to me at all. And that's not even figuring in why someone would even want Thigpen, for free.

Well, I guess in this next game we will figure out if Croyle can hold up or not.

StcChief 09-01-2009 06:47 AM

Considering it's the Lambs. Brokie may stand a chance.

Mr_Tomahawk 09-01-2009 06:49 AM

What's a Bouldin?

Hog's Gone Fishin 09-01-2009 06:52 AM

Dammit. He can borrow two of my ribs if it means we get Boldin.

the Talking Can 09-01-2009 06:53 AM

you mean cracked ribs of a 3rd string piece of crap are going to keep us from acquiring Boldin?

is this some new level of cruelty invented by the gods?

if that's all it is holding it up is 2 weeks that's no huge deal IMO. They would just have him as the inactive #3 qb for that time and let it heal. And the injury happened agaist the texans and he still played against seattle. If the ribs were an issue to any team why would he play.

Also why wouldn't AZ want Croyle instead? way better pure qb. But Whiz does like trick plays from his days in Pit. Also wouldn't it be much safer to pay Bolden instead of Marshall and take on that head case.

Don't get me wrong, i'd be all for it. Not questioning your source either BRC. I no i speak for many when i say i appreciate you posting these things.

With Z. Thomas and Darling probably heading to IR or ZT retiring and Kolby Smith to the pup list/ and the other cuts they have to make to get to 75 this would be the big news of the day.

Anyway, Thanks BRC! Update us if you get more.

All I can tell you for sure, from the source that is never been wrong is that there was an evaluation yesterday and it was for a specific time to heal. Why that occured, is speculation.

Uh yeah our O-line is a meat grinder for our QB's.Our D-line cant stop the AARP from scoring, and were going to trade for a wide out......Right.....:spock:

didn't realize thigpen was truly injured although it would explain a few things. they are trying to keep Croyle healthy in case he has to go week 1

beach tribe 09-01-2009 07:14 AM

I had a dream last night that Croyle tore up the Ravens in week 1.

It would be hilarious if Cassel couldn't get the job back from Croyle.
Well, until Croyle breaks anyway.
