Why are Copper and Lawrence still on this team?
 

I had hoped that this new administration would be above the game of "keep the guy because he's MY GUY" bullshit. I guess they aren't because imo Lelie showed more in 2 weeks that both copper and lawrence showed all preseason combined.

Didn't lawrence have more drops then catches?

Beside the point, they think that copper/lawrence > Lelie, whatever way you shake it out.

It's not like either guy is gonna get snagged by another team, just cut them and put their worthless asses on the PS. Keep the better player(Lelie) and then cut him later if you claim a better player off of waivers.

I have a feeling we'll be seeing David Tyree as a Chief soon and Copper gone.

because these guys are probably more open to be molded by whatever the coaches want and ask for, thus they have a bigger upside. ya know it's nice to have a few grooming projects on your team, no matter how shitty they are. all the good teams have guys like this and before you know it they are fit to replace some over the hill 30 something near the end of his big contract.

Neither guy is big enough to block and they did nothing as returners which is why we keep trying all these other guys at it.
