Tyson Jackson vs Michael Oher
 

Match up to watch. I think that T jack gets the better of Oher, like what I've seen out of him so far but haven't seen oher play this preseason. Who you guys have ?


Chiefs LDE Tyson Jackson(notes) vs. Ravens RT Michael Oher(notes). This battle of rookies will be important, especially for the Chiefs. Jackson was the third person selected in the 2009 Draft and the idea is he will become a stop sign to the running game on the left side of the defense. He gets his first chance against the more-hyped Oher. Jackson has shown good skills shedding blocks and moving up and down the line, but he lacks pass rush presence.

Jackson has looked really good to me the more he's played. I'm excited to see what he does this year. As for lacking pass rush presence, that's true I guess. He only had two sacks in the preseason.

Hasn't TJ been on the right side quite a bit?

If he plays on the right, he'll match up against Jared Gaither, a really solid LT.

No. And mostly Gaither is going to go up against Hali.

2 Sacks in 4 games as a 3-4 DE. Hell, if he has 8 sacks in his rookie season, i think it would be a pretty successful campaign.

That'll be a tough matchup for Hali if that's the case.

I think it will be the only tough matchup for the Chiefs in this game.

Poor Hali.

He's gong to get killed by Oher. If only Pee-Holey weren't trying to screw us we could have had someone better!

In this scheme, He's more likely to be fighting with the OG and the OT will more likely be the problem of Hali and Vrabel.

I was very adament in my dislike of the pick of TJ. I thought he was picked way too early. But after seeing him play this preseason, he is getting better every game and shows the potential of being a game changer. The more I see him play, the happier I am we drafted him. But watching Curry play, I wouldn't have minded him either.
