What AFC West team had the toughest matchup...

This question should have been asked a week ago but...

Which of the AFC West teams had the toughest matchup last week. Ignore the outcome and how they played....as if the game hadn't been played yet....eh...

AND

Who has the toughest matchup this week from the AFCW?

El Jefe 09-15-2009 07:29 AM

By far the Chiefs, Baltimore would beat Denver, Oakland and the Chargers IMO.

we had the toughest match up this week against Baltimore and SD will have the toughest match up this next week with Baltimore.

That should be a pretty good game. I'm interested to see if Baltimore tries to go Air Flacco against the Chargers.

If Jamarcus Russell can throw a bomb like he did, then Flacco is going to pick SD's secondary apart.

I think SD loses by more than we did and more convincingly

Oh, I get it! KC played the worst, but they're actually the best because they sucked against a strong team! Wish I was smart enough to come up with stuff like that.... these past 6 years wudda been so much easier for me...

Try again.

Poor Raiders... they should have won that game, much like the Bills should have defeated NE. Oh well, that's why they play a full 60 minutes.

In week 1, KC clearly had the tougher matchup... it's kinda silly that you have to ask, but I know why you're asking. :D

KC played well against a team that is supposed to be great, but they lost. Denver and Cincy both have issues and while it was ugly, they were able to win the game that they were leading for 99% of the time. It's not a beauty contest though, all that matters are the wins and losses.

In week 2 -
Oak @ KC
CLE @ DEN
BAL @ SD

SD clearly has the tougher matchup... KC and DEN at home should be favored, but again you have 2 games with 4 teams that have many issues, so anything could happen. And, regarding SD/BAL... I favor BAL, they're the more talented overall team. SD has the edge on offense, but I think BAL has the more fundamentally sound defense. Both SD and BAL defenses gave up a lot of yards in week one, and they'll likely rebound.

I say Denver, KC and BAL win those 3 games...
