The Tigers' Meltdown Continues
 

DETROIT -- Police in suburban Detroit say Miguel Cabrera and his wife got into a fight at their home over the weekend after the Tigers slugger came home drunk around 5 a.m.

Birmingham Police Chief Richard Patterson said Monday that Cabrera's wife called 911 at 6 a.m. Saturday, requesting police assistance. Miguel Cabrera opened the door for officers.

Patterson says the Cabreras had been fighting and each had marks on their faces as a result.

The chief says Rosangel Cabrera asked that her husband leave the house, so officers took him to the police station, where he was picked up by Tigers general manager Dave Dombrowski around 7:30 a.m.

That had to be an interesting ride.

That's awesome. I have a hard time envisioning a scenario where Detroit wins that game. It's going to be 1987/1991 all over again. They could take any fat black man off the streets of Minneapolis, call him Kirby Puckett, and he'd win it.

Let's see, Tigers choke away lead to have to play one game playoff with the Twins while Cabby is drinking and then beating on his wife @ 6am, Chiefs in the midst of becoming the worst team in the AFC and maybe the NFL and to cap it off 20 year high school reunion this weekend. I may start smoking, drinking and smoking again anytime now.
