LJ on the hot seat?

AFC West hot seat

We’re putting Larry Johnson on the hot seat.

And it wouldn’t be a surprise if the Chiefs do as well. If the team sees a viable alternative option (likely Jamaal Charles), Johnson could be in danger of losing his job.

He had 53 yards on 18 carries in a Kansas City loss to the Giants. Johnson has 189 yards on 72 carries so far this season, which is only 2.6 yards an attempt.

He's not getting great blocking from his weak offensive line, but Johnson, who turns 30 next month, isn’t creating many plays at all. If he continues to offer little, the hot seat will only get hotter.

get rid of his lazy ass.

I've been an LJ fan for a long time. I really hoped he'd work it out in KC and regain some of his mojo. Unfortunately even with this abysmal line, he's creating absolutely nothing. He makes way too much money for what he's producing. It's time to shit or get off the pot Larry.

I supported LJ this whole offseason and hes not done crap so far. I really believe Charles would offer more to this offense than LJ.

I will say this much. It's hard to create anything when the opposing team's defense is two and a half feet in front of you when you get the ball. I'm not sure how reasonable it is to expect him to be Barry Sanders.

The problem is we really don't have anyone else. You can't count on Charles because he either fumbles or is hurt.

I agree but when he does have a lane he needs to stay on his feet. Hes to busy diving himself onto the turf instead of staying on his feet and trying to pick up more yards. Hes very uncoordinated.

trade him to arz for boldin and beanie wells already wone!

Like Charles would make a difference. A running back is going to struggle to find holes after being repeatedly hit immediately after getting the handoff. Even the best running backs struggle and get apprehensive after being nailed time and time again right after the handoff.

He just had his best game of the season (84 yards rushing before the shotgun draw disasters) and now he's on the hot seat....load of crap. Pull something else out of your ass Billy Williamson.

It's time to see if Charles can keep the fumbling to a minimum and stay healthy.

Yeah, if we just subtract his negative yards, he's an all-pro!

Also sad this was his "best" game in Week 4 and this is all we get.

He's a lazy broken vagina at this point, fitting for that "diamond cutter" sign he likes to flash, which might as well be a giant vag.

Dude, he was averaging over 5 YPC before we started calling those stupid draws, on which he had zero chance to make positive yards, in the fourth quarter.

Those all came lumped together.

LJ was very productive for three and a half quarters yesterday...about the only bright spot in the entire game.

Bowe should be on the hot seat, dropping every pass but one. Christ.

I agree. Larry was running very hard yesterday. I think the message has gotten thru during the 2nd half of the Iggles game.

Im curious how the fans are gonna react when he breaks the Chiefs all time rushing record. Especially if he does it at Arrowhead.
