How empty is Arrowhead these days? Hard to see on TV

I know it's packed but how bad is it?

kstater 10-09-2009 06:38 AM

There's no one there right now. Literally.

The Chiefs are no Las Vegas Locomotives

It will be full of Cowboy fans this weekend.

During last week's Giants game I saw thousands of people dressed as empty seats. There was 200-level seating where there couldn't have been more than 5 or 10 people in the entire section.

Everyone knew that it would go over well when they required people in that section to sign long contracts with escalating prices. Couple that with a suck team and a suck economy and presto.

The team would do well to lower prices across the board for a couple of years until they can build this team into a winner. If nothing else they could get a few more bodies (buying expensive beer and parking spaces) and maybe generate some electricity in the stands.

KC vs. Pittsburgh Part II.

On TV it looks like there are whole sections empty in the upper level, past the halfway point or so. I'm guessing that it's going to be embarrassing this week, since the Cowboys mean more opportunity than usual to sell tickets.

Wait till it's winter and the Bills and Browns are coming to town

It will be sad when Cassel has to call timeout because the offense can't hear him audible from a run in up the 1 gap to a run up the 2 gap.

Big Dog 10-09-2009 09:27 AM

Actually, I almost posted about this after the home opener.

Attendance is pathetic. There were literally thousands of empty seats for both regular season games so far, and I expect nothing to change.

It is as bad as I have ever seen it (and we have had season tickets from the start). It reminded me of 1982 and the strike year. I was truly appalled that the Oakland game had that many seats empty after our encouraging (to some) performance in Baltimore.

I think it goes to show that, beyond the bad play, I am not alone at being pissed at the Chiefs organization...but that is for another post. :)

Demonpenz 10-09-2009 09:36 AM

it's more fun right now to party in the parking lot then go to rivals at the k to watch the game

Fish 10-09-2009 09:36 AM

WTF is the deal with the people on craigslist trying to sell tickets to this weekend's Cowboys game? I'm seeing countless people trying to cash in like it's a Superbowl game. GREAT DEAL!!!111! HURRY BUY NOW! 2 LL TICKETS $500 FOR PAIR!!

Seriously?
