Any hams amongst the planeteers?
Reckon many don't want to list their call signs (me included) for anonymity but wonder how many are active amateurs.
I got my first ticket in '69 (the year I got my First R/T also and hold the same call, WB7B** (Advanced). In '72, I went to Antarctica and my "job" was running the ARS KC4USV. What fun, full time hamming for the year I spent on the ice. I haven't been active in some years and 5 years ago I bought a Collins KWM2A (pricey antique). I have a BX tower I am putting in the ground and soon I will be back up. So are there many (any) hams here? (I am sure I'll here about other assorted monikers here) |

Nope, can't say I do but if the internet ever manages to crash I may look it up.
Ham's kinda just meet random people from around the planet and chat with them kinda like we do here don't they? |
