Any hams amongst the planeteers?
 

Reckon many don't want to list their call signs (me included) for anonymity but wonder how many are active amateurs.

I got my first ticket in '69 (the year I got my First R/T also and hold the same call, WB7B** (Advanced). In '72, I went to Antarctica and my "job" was running the ARS KC4USV. What fun, full time hamming for the year I spent on the ice.

I haven't been active in some years and 5 years ago I bought a Collins KWM2A (pricey antique). I have a BX tower I am putting in the ground and soon I will be back up.

So are there many (any) hams here? (I am sure I'll here about other assorted monikers here)

Well....at one time, many years ago, I could be seen on a variety of stages in and around the KC area....

er...you weren't really talking about "that" kind of ham, were you?...

all i know of radios is how to climb up on the roof to put antennas in place. :(

Got a neighbor that hams around the world .. mostly political BS .. thinks he has all the answers .. HA ........
