Late Night @ the Phog question
 

I'm planning tot ake the fam down to catch it. Doors open at 5:30 and the activities begin at 6:30. My question is, since I've got an hour drive, if we get there by 5:30 are we going to have any issue getting in? I don't want to haul the fam all the way down if it's all for nothing.

Who's been, and when do they typically stop letting people in?

I would recommend being there by 4:45 at least. People pack it in. However, it's fall break at KU, so the student crowd may be down a little bit.

I don't care where we sit. I'm just trying to take my little kids to get them pics with the Jayhawks and take it in for a little bit...

i'd get there 30-45 mins early if you can, to beat the bulk of the latecomers..

you'll get in somewhere up top...and if students are on break then you probably won't have to worry.

I appreciate all your guys help with this, some of you can imagine what it takes to get a 2 and 4 yr old off and in the car for a road trip, especially if you get there and find out you can't get in :(

Yes get there at least an hour early. You should be fine at 5:30 but I would risk an hour drive just in case.

might wanna get there at abou 430. This is going to be a VERY hyped up season.

Naw, you'll get in either way. Probably even if you get their at six, but your seats will be shitty. This is just basing it on past years. This year w/ all the pre-season jazz it might be a little more packed. It gets full every year, but it might get fuller earlier this year.

cool, last i went was Self's first season...crazy packed...

Last year I got there right before it started and had to sit way up in the corner. It never completely filled up, but this year I think it will be packed early with the preseason #1 thing.
