Holy $&#%! I'm afraid of heights and, I kid you not, it made me nervous watching that. That guy is insane.

Made my palms sweat.

I like the concept, but the engineering is scary. The ladder and platform beginning at 3:12 is the worst of it.

I wonder what the actuarial department at his life insurance company would have to say about this.

got a deer stand thats 80ish ft up. you gotta use a ladder i nailed to the tree for the first part, then its step climbers to the top. I get up there and get drunk and shit. its fun, you can shoot tree rats from 4 ft away.

I have no problem with the 2x4's - what do you think your staircase at home is made out of? I have a problem with the 2x4's being nailed into a living thing. When that tree grows, those 2x4's are gonna shift. The staircase will remain viable for a year or two. Beyond that, it's completely unsafe.
