NFL Mock for the 2010 draft
I'm going to start slow and build round by round and adjust during the season depending upon the standings.
Round 1: 1. St. Louis Rams: Jimmy Clausen, QB; Notre Dame - Picked the OT last year. This year they go for the QBOTF. http://nbcsportsmedia4.msnbc.com/j/m...d_8p.widec.jpg 2. Tampa Bay Bucaneers: Ndamukong Suh, DT; Nebraska - They are starting Ryan Sims. Enough said. And Suh is neck and neck with Berry for the best player in this deep draft. http://www.sportingnews.com/images/126822/article.jpeg 3. Tennessee Titans: Eric Berry, S; Tennessee - If the Titans hold course, they will be able to select local boy Berry and shore up a struggling secondary. http://blogs.ajc.com/mark-bradley-bl...eric-berry.jpg 4. Cleveland Browns: Gerald McCoy, DT; Oklahoma - Situation of "best player available" and McCoy is it. http://a.espncdn.com/photo/2009/0115..._mccoy_600.jpg 5. Detroit Lions: Russell Okung, OT; Oklahoma State - They are probably kicking themselves for not selecting Oher at #20 in the 2009 draft. LT is absolute priority, but would give long consideration to either Suh or McCoy. http://www.nfldraftdog.com/draftdogi...sell-Okung.jpg 6. Kansas City Chiefs: Joe Haden, CB; Florida - Go ahead and pick your chins up off the floor. http://behindblondiepark.com/wp-cont...9/joehaden.jpg 7. Washington Redskins: Sam Bradford, QB; Oklahoma - It's Sam or Jake. Bradford has a Heisman and that impresses Dan Snyder. http://z.about.com/d/football/1/0/A/R/SamBradford2a.jpg 8. Oakland Raiders: Jake Locker, QB; Washington - The Jamarcus Russell experiment is officially over. They are basically forced to take the best QB still available and Al Davis, even in his insane, dementia driven mind, has to realize this doesn't he? Besides, I hear that Locker can run a 4.58 40. Solid freaking gold. http://assets.sbnation.com/imported_...akelocker3.jpg 9. Buffalo Bills: Dez Bryant, WR; Oklahoma State - TO trade rumors were swirling last week. They've got to get more receiving help up there anyway. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3649/...8a7e4aa7dc.jpg 10. Seattle Seahawks: Colt McCoy, QB; Texas - Colts a four year starter on a top flight college team, and no one is going to convince me that Seneca Wallace is the QBOTF. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_TtFGyGiU3J...McCoy+4.09.jpg 11. Carolina Panthers: Taylor Mays, S; USC - Pretty good talent on the team, but there is a hole at the safety positions. http://www.football.com/UserFiles/Im...%20mays(1).jpg 12. Miami Dolphins: Travis Lewis, OLB; Oklahoma - Jason Taylor and Joey Porter are long in the tooth. Both outside LB spots need to be addressed and Lewis is the best available (if he comes out, but I think he'll look at Bradford and Gresham and make the jump). http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcont...22SoonersK.jpg 13. Jacksonville Jaquars: Tim Tebow, QB; Florida - He'll win another Heisman, another championship, be remembered as the greatest player in the history of college football, and Jacksonville will be there to cash all of those in for season tickets. Oh, and they will probably fire Del Rio and hire Urban Meyer as head coach. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_7OC0YbG2fe...s400/Tebow.jpg 14. San Francisco 49ers: Terrance Cody, DT; Alabama - They need beef up front to allow Willis to make plays. http://nbcsportsmedia1.msnbc.com/j/a...1641-pf.h2.jpg 15. Chicago Bears: Bruce Campbell, OT; Maryland - Orlando Pace is in his 13th season. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_l-8ROJeZPi...ll-6204336.jpg 16. San Diego Chargers: Rolando McClain, MLB; Alabama - Best player for the Tide can play all of the LB spots. Merriman just doesn't have it anymore. http://cache.daylife.com/imageserve/...0c9dZ/610x.jpg |
17. Baltimore Ravens: Brandon Spikes, MLB; Florida
- The loss of Bart Scott was bigger than anticipated and Ray Ray isn't a spring chicken anymore. http://www.nationalchamps.net/2009/s...don_spikes.jpg 18. Houston Texans: Ras-I Dowling, CB; Virginia - Serious help is needed in their secondary. http://grfx.cstv.com/photos/schools/...n/3410037.jpeg 19. New York Jets: Sean Weatherspoon, OLB; Missouri - Need help/depth on either edge. http://www.columbiamissourian.com/me..._w600_h600.jpg 20. Dallas Cowboys: Bryan Bulaga, OT; Iowa - If Cody is still around, they'd be sorely tempted to pick him here, but go for protection for Romo. http://www.nationalchamps.net/2009/s...yan_bulaga.jpg 21. Green Bay Packers: Trent Williams, OT; Oklahoma - If it weren't for the KC Chiefs, Green Bay might have the worst offensive line in the NFL. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_M7sEz3FCx9...t+Williams.jpg 22. Arizona Cardinals: Jermaine Gresham, TE; Oklahoma - Makes a good receiving offense downright dangerous. http://heismanpundit.com/wp-content/...gresham-p1.jpg 23. Cincinnati Bengals: Carlos Dunlap, DE; Florida - Need to get more pressure on the QB and Dunlap has all the tools to be a terrific 4-3 end on either side. http://sports.espn.go.com/photo/2008...dunlap_200.jpg 24. Atlanta Falcons: Arthur Jones, DT; Syracuse - Josh McDaniels throws a fit when Jones gets picked prior to the Doncs selection. http://blog.syracuse.com/today/2008/...rthurjones.jpg 25. Philadelphia Eagles: Ricky Sapp, LB; Clemson - The Eagles LB's have all been banged up and depth and talent would help a lot. http://i.a.cnn.net/si/2007/writers/c...ll/t1_sapp.jpg 26. Pittsburgh Steelers: Trevard Lindley, CB; Kentucky - Don't need a lot of help, but CB seems to be their weakest position. http://pbrown16.files.wordpress.com/...-t-lindley.jpg 27. New York Giants: Anthony Davis, OT; Rutgers - A huge dude to anchor the RT spot. http://images.athlonsports.com/d/165...thonyDavis.jpg 28. New England Patriots: Jahvid Best, RB; California - I don't think that they are sold on Maroney. Best would be a good bargain at this point. http://walterfootball.com/images/fball/JBest.jpg 29. Minnesota Vikings: Jevan Snead, QB; Ole Miss - Struggling a bit this year, but he's got a cannon of an arm and would be a great guy to groom under the Silver Fox (who looks likes he's 26 and happy - might get another two years or so out of him if he stays healthy). They can share catfish noodling stories and other Mississippi type adventures. http://nffootballreport.files.wordpr...snead_p121.jpg 30. Denver Broncos: Jared Odrick, DE/DT; Penn State - Regardless of how good their defense might seem on paper, they don't have a quality defensive line and need to address the DE position. http://blog.pennlive.com/joehermitt/...rge_ODRICK.jpg 31. Indianapolis Colts: Brian Price, DT; UCLA - Price would be an easy upgrade over Dan Muir. http://images.ocregister.com/newsima...ice._large.jpg 32. New Orleans Saints: Brandon Graham, DE; Michigan - Will Smith's production has been way down over the past three seasons. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_HvnrtGqYrf...n%2BGraham.jpg |
The Titans need a QB.
