That was... dangerous.

Rain Man 11-19-2009 04:16 PM

Why on earth would anyone do that? That's not just bad, it's insanely bad.

Frazod 11-19-2009 04:30 PM

Actually, if executed correctly, it's nearly undefensible. Quarterback is running the other way, ball is down, all defenders react to a run in the other direction and then BOOM there's the friggin ball! Seriously, who would expect that? I think it would fool anybody, at least once.

Hell, it would fool Gunther a hundred times.

Sweet Daddy Hate 11-19-2009 04:49 PM

ROFL

It is kind of a bootleg of sorts then?

How about a skip pass

So from what I've seen in my lifetime I'd say it's safer to throw the ball over your head blindly than to throw the ball with your non-dominant hand.

They were 6 inches from the endzone and ran that play. Remind me to kill myself if that coach ever makes it to the Chiefs sideline.

I saw another high school team did this last week and it worked again. the receiver pretended that it was an incomplete pass and hung his head a little, then chucked the ball up in the air to an open receiver. The defense thought the play was over and they had the guy right in their hands and just let him go. Pretty risky if you ask me.

I don't see what's going on with the poor quality of the video. What am I missing?

QB throws a pass that one hops, or skips on the ground, but is behind him into the flat to a waiting WR. Since that throw is a backward pass it is still a live ball, and not an incomplete pass. WR catches the skip pass and throws it to a wide open WR who has no one around him since the ball was thrown at the ground to begin with.
