Do you want Chris Chambers re-signed?

I would really like him back. I know he's older, but he runs great routes and still has some speed to make things happen. I'd actually try to lock him up for 2 years now instead of letting him go out in FA.

He would be a much, much better option than going out and drafting Dez Bryant that high.

Let Wade go, get another slot receiver to go with Lance Long and these receivers might not be so bad.

Thoughts?

Kennison II: The Chambersing!

Sure

Hoover 11-23-2009 08:34 AM

Agree.

He has shown that he still has some gas in the tank. I think a full season of him and Bowe with an improved line and JC would give our QB some things to work with.

SAUTO 11-23-2009 08:34 AM

i agree with resigning him.

suds79 11-23-2009 08:35 AM

At this point we almost have to. He's our #2 WR who's performing like a number one.

But they'd better try to find a future replacement as he could drop off at any moment. You just never know when WRs get up there like he is.

SenselessChiefsFan 11-23-2009 08:35 AM

Depending on the contract.... yes.

Maybe if we put some NOS, juice him up, he will be faster and more explosive?

i think with what we've seen from him so far, we have to try and re-sign him.

Keep Chambers along with Wade and all the other recievers all the way through trainning camp and make them compete and work and then cull'em out.

Sure.

The WR depth this year is pretty good so you can get a guy later in the draft. If you're looking to draft a big-time WR then wait until next year for Julio Jones or AJ Green.

BigRedChief 11-23-2009 08:41 AM

I'm okay with this bur I'm assuming we are going to draft a high pick at WR and pursue FA WR's pretty hard. We have the cap room.

We need a RT and G/C O-line help but those are not usually high round draft pick selections.

OnTheWarpath15 11-23-2009 08:43 AM

Sure, but not as an excuse to ignore upgrading the position via the draft or FA.

Absolutly keep him. Pioli will make a good contract, not to much, and he has found a home for a year or two to end his carear. He got no love in san dieeeego. As far as draft, yes we could upgrade but lets hope for O-LINE help first and formost and then PASS RUSH, then maybe reciever help. Can you imagine what Cassle and co. could do with more than .95 seconds to throw the ball? Yes I know there were a few times yesterday they had a little more time but it was trickery not blocking by o-line
