10 Players

You are responsible for rebuilding the Chiefs for next year. Clark has told you that you can do anything you want with free agency and the draft, but you have to retain 10 players from this years squad to retain some sense of continuity with the dwindling fan base. You want players that you can count on, as well as those that aren't a complete embarrassment.

Which 10 do you want to keep? Should you keep? Which would keep your chances of getting nuthooked in a dark alley to a minimum?

For me:

1. Colquitt
2. Succop
3. Cassel
4. Charles
5. Bowe
6. Albert
7. Dorsey
8. Hali
9. Flowers
10.Jackson

I struggled with a couple three of these, ironically three first round draft picks. I rationalized how long it took for Hali to come around and used that to justify Bowe, Dorsey and Jackson.

Who would you keep for sure?

RustShack 12-30-2009 09:34 AM

Flowers?

Coogs 12-30-2009 09:35 AM

Replace Cassel with Flowers, and I think you might be on to something.

Demonpenz 12-30-2009 09:38 AM

those 10 players you are keeping are average to below average MAYBE succup is above average *edit* bowe is above average at dropping the ball

rockymtnchief 12-30-2009 09:39 AM

I'd still keep Carr and Smith.

DrRyan 12-30-2009 09:42 AM

1. Flowers
2. Albert
3. Charles
4. Succop
5. Dorsey
6. Carr
7. Hali
8. Bowe
9. Colquitt
10. Jackson

11. Cassel, at this point you would have to. The guy was the epitome of terrible this year, but you have to give him at least(hopefully at most) one more year to prove himself. If he cannot, then you go QB in the first round 2011.

Damn! Building up from 10 to 53 is gonna be a nightmare .Honeslty,I'd rather wash my hands of the whole damn team vs keeping 10 for the base.I knew our roster was shit, but till I had to hand pick 10 keepers, who knew!:shake:
Flowers and Albert are def keepers, but to have to take all the bad that comes with them.......DAMN!!!!

1 Succop
2 Bowe
3 Flowers
4 Carr
5 Albert
6 Dorsey
7 Charles
8 Croyle
9 Hali
10 Richardson

Albert
Bowe
Hali
Charles
Jackson
Succop
Flowers
Carr
Dorsey
Colquitt

I really don't think you should rebuild around a punter, but I couldn't think of another viable candidate.

No need for me to post my list because that's it.

And if we pick anywhere other than the top 3 again next year, that pick will probably not get a top QB. If Suh goes to the Rams, then Clausen has to be considered this year.

Would be #1 on my list

1. Flowers
2. Succop
3. Colquitt
4. Albert
5. Charles
6. Dorsey
7. Jackson
8. Hali
9. Bowe
10. Cassel just because he is the QB. My apologies to Carr.

Actually, I might keep Gilberry over Hali and make OLB a priority in the draft.

If you're keeping Cassel just because he's the QB, I'd rather keep Croyle.

Damn, you're right. I knew I missed somebody important. Drop Jackson or Mays, keep Flowers.
