Think outside the box... what's the new fad?
I'm looking to buy into a corporation that has the latest fad or the potential to be a fad.
Background. 07 I got into Crocs stock (the shoe CROX) and made a little money but would've come out with a LOT more if I would've waited to sell (Sold too early). A couple of months ago, I bought into a swine flu stock (SVA)and held it for a month and gained $500... sold too late (could've came out with $900 or $1k). I have clean energy mutual fund in my portfolio and the Climate talks has helped that sector a lot lately. But I'm looking for other fad(s) short term stocks to get in and out within a 6 months period... Can you guys think outside the box with some suggestions? If there's a thread dedicated to this I apologize. |

Judging by the responses you are getting here I think you would be better off not asking. Good luck and let us know what you think is coming around....could be some of us that can't see past our noses would like to get in also or at least look at it...

Well I've been thinking about Stem cell stocks.
But I've been reading up on it and it all might go downhill at midterm elections. |

First, look for anything that has to do with climate change. The simple fear of global warming is driving politics right now, and it seeps into all of the crevasses of society as it goes down that road. Still, common sense drives any other part of it...until it's 105 in March, wait until April or may to buy into the next smallest bikini-thong.
Second, as much as I hate to admit it, anime. Avatar just topped $1 billion worldwide, and I knew plenty of people in high school and college who loved the stuff and are now getting into their first real jobs. Third, I don't study the economy much, so take it with a grain of salt. |
