So on the abominable trick play yesterday.
I realize that this play ultimately did not affect the outcome of the game, and no, this is not a thread where I will bash Haley's playcalling.
I downloaded the highlights of this game this morning and upon watching them today I clearly noticed this on the interception play. http://i15.servimg.com/u/f15/11/05/56/42/pictur10.jpg I'm sorry I cannot make it a gif, but the ball clearly hit the ground when Cassell threw him down. I know this is not a significant now, but I believe everyone was so disgusted with Haley that no one examined whether Goodman had control of the ball. Repost Police, no need for excessive force. |
It was a horrible horrible play, and Haley acknowledged as much.
But that was a helluva tackle...better than most of the tackles I've seen from Chiefs players. |
Cassel said take that beeyatch!
|
Well if the whole QBOTF thing doesn't work out for Cassell we could try him as a MLB.
|
Cassel can play special teams
not quite a Blue and Orange #56 body slam not bad though |
Would have been a fumble. I believe he had control after catching it.
|
Castille might have a better arm than Cassel..
|
This reminds me
Did Light bulb head Bailey send #40 some flowers I think he rubbed one out on him |

The old half back throw back, lol woulda worked better with thigpen

It wasn't a horrible play CALL necessarily. Trick plays work sometimes, don't others. However, when Castille saw the double coverage, he should have been told to throw it away. THAT is where it became a horrible play.

And also, Cassel did make a pretty bad ass tackle on that. Maybe a great QB, maybe not, but he's definitely not a puss.

I just watched Haley's press conference again. Gretz asked him about the trick play what he was thinking. Haley said, "I was thinking attack."
I am so glad that Herm is gone. FAX |
