You know who has quietly been a pretty good player for the Chiefs this year?
People hardly mention him, but I think Wade Smith has been a pretty decent offensive lineman for the Chiefs this year...i was watching the game yesterday and he was in on a majority of the big plays, he contributes and gets pretty good pushes and blocks in.
Could he be a possible stopgap solution? He's not that old, only 29. But I think he could be very servicable. get a couple of good players around him on the Oline and he is somebody the chiefs could live with. Not a star player by any means, but a pretty good role player imo. I think he is versitile. That's another good thing about him. He could play either guard or center, and even started a few games at LT. I'd like to see the Chiefs go after a couple of offensive lineman this year. Love to see us get another offensive tackle, and sign either a guard or center. Or possibly draft more lineman? Can never have enough of those guys. I was one who underestimated Smith's ability but the dude can play, and at worst I think he would provide the team with great depth. He is worth keeping. What are your thoughts? |
