Haley and Weis
So, there's the obvious "NE Connection" and Weis is an offensive guy... Haley has been the HC and OC and he's obviously an offensive guy. How exactly do you guys see this marriage working out in KC?
|
Like Jamaal Charles raping the Broncos D. Lots of people getting pushed around.
|
I see Weiss running the offense, Haley having more time to do HIS job, and more time to help get our sorry ass WR corps to catch balls.
even if the Chiefs only win 5-6 games, I think they'll make Denver smell their own ass at least once. |
Like the opposite of the ralationship between Brandon Marshall and Josh Mcdaniels.
|
i like it..
I like it a lot |
It will lead to Weis fellating Haley.
|
I can see lots of positives for you guys... I wonder what the discussions were like the last 2 days with Haley. I wonder how much he really enjoys this one.
|
I'll bet he's somewhat relieved. He's found a guy that can run his style of offense.

I'm not jumping up and down and suddenly oblivious to the obvious talent issues on the roster. I do think CW is a good hire, given his history with this coach and similar offense.
I also think he might be a strong enough personality to deal with Haley and maybe even help him. Same thing with Crennel. I think his experience with the 3-4 is an immediate improvement over CPretendergas and his experience as an NFL head coach can only be of value to Haley if brought in. The 3 of them together working with the others and scouts should also be of benefit for this draft and FA. |

Who they bring in to play is a lot more important than who they bring in to coach, but I think it's probably going to be a good pairing. As I understand it they're friends from all the back in their Jets days, and they're stylistically very similar in terms of what they want their units to do. Which is a night and day change from a year ago and Chan Gailey. That's without even considering the possibilities as far as coaching the QB position goes.
But how things look on paper doesn't matter a whole lot. |
It'll probably end up being a mess because Haley doesn't strike me as the type of guy who will be able to work well with others. He thought he could do a better job than Chan. I'm glad somebody else will be calling the shots. If Weis is smart, he'll sit in the coaches box to call games without his headphone connection to Haley so he doesn't have to be cursed out.

Weis: I'm really looking forward to being a part of this organization. I can see it's got a lot of potential. Haley: OUR ****ING RECEIVERS CAN'T CATCH THE ****ING BALL. I NEED SOMEBODY TO FIX IT NOW.
