He cut down the weight this year and wasn't nearly as effective. Could we steal him in the fifth round and have him build back up? He might have to sit a year behind Edwards or we can sign another old stop gap. But I think he has the ability to be a be a great NT.

What would you think if Pioli signed Ferguson as a stopgap?

He's become more of a 3-4 DE.

he is all the way down to 295 though
for him to re-gain 30 pounds would really affect him short term

Ron Edwards is solid depth.

Sure is ---and at this time we have no one to replace him

We could have Todd Haley bragging about how much weight his team gained during training camp.

I'm sure gaining more muscle will be a big part of this years offseason after losing all the fat last year.
