Need some prayers for my wife.
 

As many of you know, Mrs. FMB! went off to Air Force Reserves basic a couple weeks ago.

She called this evening and has been transferred to a medical hold facility for the time being after she collapsed on a knee. Not sure about the damage at this point, but it doesn't look good, and she's not certain they'll let her continue in basic. The doctor told her he didn't think she could continue.

She needs this, so please say a prayer or send good vibes her way at Lackland.

She's already had one - and I'm pretty sure she collapsed on the already-surgically-repaired knee. She'll call again tomorrow, so I'll know more then.

She really needs to finish basic, for her sake. I can't really go into the reasons, but the financial side of it isn't in the top 5.

Worst case she has to do it all over again?

But, could this be good news? I mean, she might get some kind of disability compensation from the service and be able to come home, maybe?

Worse case, I'm guessing, is they discharge her.

Everything I've read and heard is they look for any reason to get rid of the Reserves recruits.

I should know a lot more tomorrow. What I'm reading is for injuries, you go into medical hold until you heal, then they recycle you and you start where you left off. If it's expected to heal, but take a while, they can send you home to recover, then come back later to finish training, picking up where you left off. If it's really bad and you're not expected to recover, you're discharged. Not sure what the protocol there is.

Sounds like torture for both of you.
