Going to Vegas
 

I'm going to Las Vegas in a couple weeks. Any good suggestions on stuff I should do? It's my first trip there and I want to do it right.

Where are you going to stay?

The Venetian is awesome.

Haven't booked yet. I have friends that work for Marriott so I can get a sick deal at any of their hotels. I can book that the week of. Any hotel suggestion are welcome, though. Not sure where I can get deals at this point.

The buffet at the Wynn should probably be on your list of stuff to do, all-you-can-eat crab legs, sushi, prime rib, & insane desserts. We usually starve ourselves all day, get shit-faced drunk all day (empty stomach ftw) and then catch a cab over there. The Rio's got a really good buffet too.

And it's always fun to place a few NFL related bets and hold onto the betting slips all year, kinda like a lottery ticket if you hit. Maybe check on KC to win the division, $20-$50 bet or something like that.

Blackjack!

I've only stayed at the Bellagio. I get to stay at the NY NY this next time I go, which is a few weeksm also. Planet Hollywood is pretty cool because they got movie themed rooms with actual props and costumes worn in big screen movies. Bellagio is my favorite. I want to stay at the Aria resort. That place is huge and I like their sports book area and free drinks while you watch the games. Another sports book area thats badass to hang out at is at the Palazzo.

hard rock hotel is pretty cool. not mega huge like some of the other places, good music, tons of cool rock memorabilia. check to see if there are any shows going on at the joint. I was just there in Dec to see MUSE. They are playing in April at Mandalay Bay FTW

Blackout drinking, Hookers and Valtrex?

I suggest u dig couple holes out in the desert just incase! dead hookers laying around tend to be a mess

Are you going during the 1st 2 rounds of the NCAA tournament?

Marriott doesn't have any properties on the strip and if this is your first trip, you definitely want to stay on the strip.

I'd look into the Imperial Palace. It's not the swankiest place, but the rooms are clean and the location can't be beat.

Are you going on the weekend or during the week? Fri-Sat nights are considerably higher that week nights. For example, the Imperial Palace has $25-35 weekday rates and goes up to $100+ on the weekends.

I'm going out in 2 weeks for March Madness. Staying at the Hilton. What an awesome, awesome time.

if a cabbie tells you that you should check out this strip bar, DON'T LET HIM DO IT. Some will drive you there even if you strongly tell them not to. They get commission from that.
