Gerald McCoy could have been a Hurricane

Oklahoma product Gerald McCoy told Warren Sapp and Rich Eisen on NFL Network Thursday that he nearly went to college at the University of Miami.

"I told Miami, look, I'm coming down for a visit," McCoy said. "If Warren Sapp is there when I get there, I'll sign right then."

"Wait, wait, wait," Sapp jumped in. "Who was this coach?"

"Larry Coker," McCoy answered.

"And that's why [Coker] doesn't have a job today," Sapp said.

I'll take "Things I could care less about" for $500, Alex.
