Fruit stripe gum was always such a tease. At first it was like heaven on earth and the flavor went away 1.1 seconds later :(

I was always pissed off about the fruit striped gum! It was so good for those couple of seconds, then it was like, WTF out of nowhere. Suddenly your chewing on some sticky substance without a taste.

I remember some flavor crystal gum that you could eat the paper in too

No mortal could withstand the amazing awesomosity of FSG's flavor for more than a few seconds and have their sanity intact. I had a buddy who lined up a whole pack and kept popping them to keep the flavor at its zenith. He was never the same. Like Icarus he just flew a little too close to the sun.
