For starters, he went out of his way to praise Russell during the press conference when he announced that Lane Kiffin was fired, and to do a turnaround now would be a monumental admission of failure on AD's part, something he's not known for.

Remember, Davis is the owner who planted running back Marcus Allen on the bench in the late '90s because of a personal feud between the two men. It didn't matter how much money Allen was making.
