Pinks All Out - Heartland Park

The wife got some free tickets for the show tonight. I not big into racing but it could be fun. Any thoughts.

maybe you'll get lucky and see the host wipe out on a sportbike; trying to get to the finish line to deliver the results;

too much throttle + cold tires + never ridden a sportbike + over confident because he's ridden 'dirtbikes' his 'whole like' = fail.

I"m sure it's on youtube.lol

You'll have fun; always cool to see loud, fast things.

Didn’t realize they were at Heartland Park or I’d have gone.
Do us all a favor. Smack Rich in the back of his bald head and yelling “Tard!”

I almost think he did that on purpose just so he could take his shirt off for the cameras.

Yeah I think it will be fun. I'm gonna stay away from the tard thing though.

I just found this show recently. I haven't been into drag racing in a long time but man, this is getting my juices running again. I am starting to see if I can find anywhere decent around here to go watch them fly down the track.

In case you're wondering what we're talking about, this is why Rich is a tard.

<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/AmjCEPF4HGo&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/AmjCEPF4HGo&amp;hl=en_US&amp;fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

Well, I guess that's only part of the reason he's a tard.

I'm laughing... but I almost did the same thing when I hopped on a sport bike for the first time. I grew up riding dirt bikes as well. Nothing over a 250 though. Hopped on my buddy's Katana all confident and excited, only to fishtail it for 15'. Recovered it, but my buddy shit his pants and grabbed a wrench to throw at my head. I learned a valuable lesson that day... :D

i know a couple of guys who are gonna be there. From higginsville, one has a dodge dart, one a camaro.

We'll see how they do.

SAUTO 07-16-2010 03:39 PM

oh and on the sport bikes, i know a kid who dragged his and at the start line his feet got stuck and the bike took off with out him.

funniest shit i ever saw. the kid couldnt have weighed 100 lbs soaking wet, on a big bike. i was sitting next to his dad and when the bike was on its side the guy went crazy. then to see the kid still standing at the start line

But you did recover it.
That's the thing about four cylinder sport bikes, they have very little crank shaft weight so when the tire breaks traction the engine will spin up like crazy.
It's possible to get one to fish tail out, leave a little tire smoke and a black stripe, but you don't do it half leaned over, like Rich did, popping the clutch with a fist full of throttle, like Rich did. That's a recipe for getting spanked, like Rich did.
BTW, Rich is a tard.

No offense but I have to laugh at the thought of a Katana being considered a real sport bike. Kind of like a Fiero being called a sports car. Lol.
