Team CB Rankings

This guy has all the AFCW teams in the top half of the NFL:

3. Kansas City Chiefs
- Starters: Brandon Flowers/Brandon Carr
- Third CB: Javier Arenas

Summary: Flowers had a fantastic rookie season and he didn't disappoint as a sophomore. If he plays that well in his third year I'm prepared to call him an elite cornerback on the same level as Asomugha, Revis and Webster. Carr is also a solid starter and is far from a weak link. Their problem last year was their nickel back. They drafted Javier Arenas in this year's draft and he will likely slide into that roll. If Arenas can learn quickly this has the potential to be one of the best young secondaries in the NFL.

4. San Diego Chargers
- Starters: Quentin Jammer/Antoine Cason
- Third CB: Nathan Vasher

Summary: The Chargers getting rid of Cromartie is one of the most obvious cases of addition by subtraction. Cromartie was horrible in 2008 and below average in 2009. Jammer has quietly had a fantastic career and has developed into one of the top corners in the NFL. Cason has excelled as a nickel back and now takes over as a fulltime starter. Vasher was added to the mix but has no experience in a non-Cover-2 system.

8. Oakland Raiders
- Starters: Nnamdi Asomugha/Chris Johnson
- Third CB: Stanford Routt

Summary: Anytime I think of Woodson winning the Defensive Player of the Year award, I tend to imagine Kanye West interrupting his acceptance speech: "Yo Charles, I'm happy for you and I'mma let you finish, but Nnamdi Asomugha is one of the best cornerbacks of all time!" I do not believe that any corner in history has played better than Asomugha over a three-year span. He is better than Woodson, better than Darrelle Revis, and he is the best corner I have ever seen play. Johnson and Routt have a tough job playing opposite Asomugha. Neither defender is horrible, but almost every pass will be thrown in their direction.

13. Denver Broncos
- Starters: Champ Bailey/Andre Goodman
- Third CB: Alphonso Smith

Summary: Bailey is not the player he once was, but he is still a solid cornerback. Goodman had a decent year in Miami, but struggled in Denver. Goodman is just keeping the starting role warm for Alphonso Smith. Smith will likely take over the starting job sooner rather than later and honestly can't play worse than Goodman.

Wow. Putting him up there with Revis and Asomugha huh?

Flowers is my favorite player and all, but that's some REALLY high praise.

In a pass happy league, this makes me happy, and hopefully it keeps making me happy for several seasons in a row.

Well there is that we can't pay him like a top five CB.

After reading all of his rankings, this guy seems a little off. The Browns were ranked #4. Yikes, that's kinda high. I also think the Chargers were ranked to high and the Jets not high enough.

Dude said "roll" instead of "role". He's obviously not a professional. What does he do?

I look at the URL and think ... Oh, ok. It's a fantasy football related site.

Like when he takes his jersey off and runs by fans. Or when he’s the one making rookie Eric Berry carry his pads. Or when he races by Brandon Carr for a long catch — Carr’s been getting beat like pizza dough, by the way — and then poses for a few seconds in front of fans.
