Mizzou Basketball tidbit.

Mizzou's Phil Pressey had a standing (no step) vertical leap of 37.5". The best leap at the NBA combine this year was 32.0" by Wes Johnson.

I can't hardly believe 32 was the best at last years combine.

John Wall the the highest total vertical of like 39'' I believe. The one that you can get a couple steps before jumping.

Either way, NBA players aren't nearly as athletic as most people give them credit for, at least compared to NFL linebackers, safeties, and defensive backs.

Heh, I see what you're getting at. But it's really only obnoxious if you bring it up as a way to defend your miserable excuse for a football team.

A basketball thread on it's own, is acceptable any time of year.
