How was the Arrowhead experience?
Clearly, the crowd and general atmosphere last night were great, but how was the experience itself? Was the pregame show anywhere near to the level of the hype? It seemed like the music may have been a little less stale than in the past (but I didn't go to any games last year).
It seems like the Chiefs are putting a lot of effort in making games fun to attend again, but I'm just curious to know how it's paying off. |
it rocked. From the opening fireworks to the end game goal stance it was awesome
even through the rain |
Josh Looney should be kicked in the balls for saying that if you weren't in your seats at 8:35, you'd miss something incredible.
Yeah, Josh, watching the Chiefs stretch was incredible. Thanks. Show started at 8:55, and the video appeared to be pretty cool, but we couldn't hear it. I hope that KCChiefs.com posts it at some point, because I'd like to hear it. Overall, what made the night great was the win and the faithful that didn't run for the concourses at halftime, only to never return. |
This was my 5th game.
Preseason vs texans last yr Buffalo Broncos Preseason eagles Hardly sellers. The atmosphere was crazy. Every fan was hyped up. i couldnt believe how loud it got on the 4th down play. The pregame show was pretty cool. Lotta fireworks and a Lazer arrowhead on the stadium. |

I'm not sure what would have made the pregame an amazing experience... there were fireworks and a long intro with a cool video, Billy Ray Cyrus spent some time with the fans, which was cool. It's about as much as they could have done, I guess. The atmosphere was great... even walking through the parking lot before the game I could tell the atmosphere inside was going to be electric. It was the most fun I've had at a game in several years, and I didn't even spend much time tailgating. I did take cover at halftime, but came back out... wet is wet. I have a nice picture of the club level that shows zero people in the first several rows, and it hadn't even been raining that long. Pay $250 for a seat and can't be bothered by a little rain. |
Train really got the crowd amped up into a frenzy.

The sound system in there sucked. I would have liked to hear what Rob Riggle was saying. |

The best seats I ever had at Arrowhead were back in (I think) 2004 for a December game against the Donks. The gametime temperature was somewhere around 6F if I recall correctly. I wasn't going to go, but I got on eBay the night before and found people selling club-level tix for $20. The seats were awesome, but there was NO ONE in that area. I think we were one of two groups in our entire section. Give me the cheap seats any day. If I want a great view, I'll stay at home and watch on TV. Arrowhead is awesome because of the fans, so being up with people who don't want to scream just ain't worth it. |
