Flowers getting some love...
 

Check out this story on Yahoo. Its about Cutler's day against DeAngelo Hall.

Here's the snippet:

"I've played against [Hall] before -- there's no reason to shy away from him. That's hard to say after throwing four picks at a guy, but if we had to play him tomorrow, I'd go at him every time." That was Cutler's response to the valid question: "Why did you keep throwing Hall's way, when he was picking off everything in his area?" It's true that Hall isn't exactly Brandon Flowers or Darrelle Revis, but this goes beyond hubris on Cutler's part. Easy enough to give a perfunctory answer about how Hall played a great game, and "the breaks just didn't go our way," blah blah blah ... but this?

Now that's a hell of an endorsement. They're just saying what the rest of us know though, Flowers is an obvious pro-bowler and with a long enough career he has a shot at the HOF.

Whoa whoa whoa now; I'm all about jumping on the Flowers for President ship, but let's ease up on the HOF'er remarks.

Yeah, I was with him on the first part.

Winning team first, playoffs second, Super Bowl third, Pro Bowl fourth, THEN we'll talk HoF.

haha sorry about that guys. I just did a quick scan of the first page and didnt see it my bad.

And that one is actually a repost to begin with.

Wow. I'm glad to see our guy get some love, but kind of disappointed to see the secret is out.

Doug Farrar is a writer for Football Outsiders, he's not really representative of the mainstream media. He actually wrote a nice article about Flowers a few weeks ago.

That's a relief. The Yahoo sports URL is what threw me off.

I wonder who else will be a first-ballot candidate when he's eligible, because I'd like him to get in on the first ballot since they snubbed DT.
