Sears has announced they will be open on Thanksgiving Day for th first time in history...

Toys R Us has announced they are opening for Doorbusters at 10:00PM on Thanksgiving day....

Where does this nonsense end??? Do people not have anything better to do in their lives but go shopping anymore??

I guess im a traditionalist and feel everything should be closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas. Their employees deserve the break.

I dont work there, so I dont care. I've gone out on Black Friday one time. Never again.

Though I definitely agree with this, grocery stores and the like are open, so I guess they aren't being TOO evil.

But yeah, Black Friday is stupid.

I honestly think it is related to the economy. It seems like almost every company is having big discounts to try to keep sales levels up. This is just another example IMO.


And no, I have never done the Black Friday thing.

My wife digs the hell out of it...She's up and out early!! Never gone, don't plan to... I'm still sleeping off the turkey and beer coma.

You can get some cheap shit if you don't mind the crowds and only buy the shit that is on sale.

Ugh. I'd sooner watch a KU basketball game with Wickedson.

I'd rather pay 2 times as much to be able to do it in peace some other time and not have to deal with the idiots.

My time is far more valuable. If you consider how much time you spent waiting in line versus the discount you'll get you found you made a poor value tradeoff. What I fine particularly hilarious and sad are those people who wait in line to get the deals and then sell them on craigslist after. YAY you waiting in line for 8 hrs and made $20.

I would pay to see that. ROFL

9 pm to 6 am the next morning at target in the snow to get my TV last year. Worth it. I really just wanted to do it for the experience of saying I did black Friday just once.

I've grown to loathe the entire concept of exchanging Christmas gifts.
