Assume you're out on the town. On the street, you see a man belligerently shoving another man; almost coming to blows. Then the aggressor begins to shove a woman, to the point of throwing her against a parked car, then into the street.

As a bystander to try to intervene or do you sit back and wait for the proper authorities?

This was last night. Saw it go down across from the street through a bar window. Even if I wasn't that far away and I had not a drop of alcohol in my system, I'll admit I wouldn't do anything because I didn't know the situation at hand and couldn't keep from getting my ass beat in a fight. I just want to know if that's the expected response, versus trying to break up whatever dispute was going on.

Do anything besides call a cop or bouncer, that is.

Jump in the middle of them, start screaming at the top of your lungs about how you hate when they fight and start poking them in the forehead with hot dogs till they forget what they were fighting about.

Seriously, call the PD. You have no idea what is going on. In 15 years working as a medic, I've seen more people get hurt trying to break up a fight...what happens as they usually both turn on you.
The only life threatening injury I ever received was from a domestic when the wife turned on me & stabbed me. Should have let her old man die after that shit!!

Get out from behind the glass. So you can hear and get a full "sense" of the situation. If duty calls run over and blast the mother****er in the cock sucker cause sometimes assholes need to know there place. If your gunna play hero make sure you know the situation cause retribution and medical bills and court fees come out of your pocket. And if it goes down like that have a witness.

I believe the proper thing to do is to video the fight and then post it on YouTube.
