The "R" Word is the New "N" Word
I was making super last night and Glee came on. I told my kid to shut that crap off. Before she did there was a Public Service Announcement about Ending The "R" Word.
Now what am I going to call my kids when the do something stupid? http://www.r-word.org/r-word-why-pledge.aspx Is Idiot still acceptable? |
Just makes me want to say it more. And louder.

It's like when homosexuals call each-other bundle of sticks or queer. Or when blacks drop the N-bomb at one another. That's completely acceptable for some reason. :D Posted via Mobile Device |

I find this to be somewhat reeruned.
|
I'll admit that I don't allow the use of the word (as an insult at least) in my classroom. The reason being that I teach quite a few special ed. students, and they've likely had that word used on them in a derogatory fashion in the past.
|
But how does one go about ending a word?
What does it become.....? |
Using words in a demeaning stereotypical manner is pretty gay. You have to be reeruned to do that. Or at least handicapped.
