Just had to let someone go. suckage!
Well, I just had to fire a gal that's been with us for about a year. she is a real sweetheart, but just didn't have the aptitude for the job. I hate that shit. Sometimes I wish I was a heartless bastard that didn't mind jacking up someones life. Carry on.

What did she do (didn't do) to deserve getting fired?
|
Internet abuse?
|
What? You didn't fall on the knife instead? What kind of example are you setting? Talk about a losuy boss. Sheeesh. :p
|
Did she even attempt to perform any sexual favors for you to keep her job? If not then she deserved to be let go.

Failed the oral?
|
If she wasn't good at what she was doing she likely knew that which would have made her unhappy.
You just freed her up to find something she likes and is good at; it's a hard thing to do but in the end you will both be better for it. |
LIKE A BAUCE!

basically, someone dropped a resume by and had waaayy more experience. We had been trying to get her to "get it" for some time and it wasn't working. Interviewed the other person, likeed her, hired her, fired this gal. I'm over it now. That was so 15 minutes ago.

I've been having problems with a secretary for a while. Refuses to follow instructions, makes excuses why FUBAR'd situations aren't her fault, and generally falls short of taking responsibility for her files. She was giving me the silent treatment last week when, out of the blue, an unsolicited job applicant called in.
Attitude improved greatly after that. Quote:

Was she hot?

I met one of my customers for the first time today. Around 40 and smoking hot. I said to myself "Oh, My!"

Firing people is the worst thing ever if they're trying and just don't get it. Even laying someone off is better, because you can say, "It's not you, it's the economy" Firing a nice low performer requires you to say, "It's not the economy, it's you." That's not fun.
