Family Fun Day
I am thinking about heading to St. Joe on Saturday for family fun day. I noticed it was originally 7:30, now the Chiefs site has it at 1:30. Which one is accurate? Is this event worth the 5 hour drive one way? I have never been so I am asking for input.

There are ususally alot of kids there, if you are into that sort of thing.
|
we went last year and had a great time. gonna try and go back this year.
3 hr drive for me one way. well worth it IMO and my 6 year old daughter has asked about doing it again all year long |
Not sure when it is but 1:30 in this heat makes no sense

Is the family day indoors or out? I've never been either, and thinking about going.

Still think that would be in the evening though. |
Do you think this is misprint then from kcchiefs.com?
Beginning this year, some of the team’s practices will be walkthroughs instead of full practices. For full practices, players will wear helmets and full pads and will take part in contact drills. During walkthroughs players will wear only shorts and their practice jerseys, they will not wear helmets, and will not take part in any contact drills. Fans can check www.kcchiefs.com for updated information on the type of practice to expect each day. For the opening weekend only, players will be in helmets and shells and practice will be similar to an off-season OTA. Unless otherwise noted, all outdoor training camp practices will be free of charge. MWSU will charge a $5 daily parking fee in all lots throughout the duration of training camp except for practices where admission is charged. Training camp will be highlighted by Family Fun Day presented by American Family Insurance on Saturday, Aug. 6 at 1:30 p.m. at Spratt Stadium. MWSU will charge a $12 admission fee on Family Fun Day with free admission for children three (3) and under. Parking is free on Family Fun Day. A special Season Ticket Holder event will be announced at a later date. The Chiefs are scheduled to conduct two free night practices at Spratt Stadium on Wednesday, Aug. 3 and Wednesday, Aug. 10 at 7:15 p.m. In addition, MWSU will host a Training Camp Sendoff Event that will be announced at a later date. All training camp dates, times and practices are subject to change due to weather conditions and other factors. Practices conducted indoors at Missouri Western State University are not open to the public. Fans are strongly encouraged to consult www.kcchiefs.com for the most up-to-date schedule information. Stay tuned for more special announcements regarding 2011 Kansas City Chiefs Training Camp presented by Heartland Health. Training Camp Map PLEASE NOTE: *All training camp dates, times and practices are subject to change due to weather conditions and other factors. *In the event of inclement weather, practices will be moved indoors and will be closed to the public. * Fans are strongly encouraged to consult www.kcchiefs.com before making travel plans. |
Did Family fun day last year. Never again.

It was pretty fun in River Falls, full team scrimmage under the lights...good atmosphere.
In St Joes, not so much. |
