What is your best Bargain?

I vowed a while back to never pay full price for anything. I love to haggle. I will always ask for a discount. I am never rude or unreasonable. I just know that there is always a better price available.

Today:
I purchased a brand new 30 in Electrolux Gas Wave Range for $1000 dollars with free delivery and hook-up from Best Buy. It was a clearance item that was originally priced at $2399 clearance price was $1499. I was able to talk them down $499. Best Price I found was $1999 on-line.

What is yours?

I figure we could help each other out with tips.

I once got 5 hookers for the price of 2, and all I had to do was supply the coke.

From many people I've heard divorce is the best bargain.

I got all sorts of crazy stuff when I worked at Staples. All of the clearance prices were set by Corporate, and occasionally things would get stuck way back in the back as prices kept getting lower and lower. The best one (that I can't personally claim) is when a coworker was doing inventory on some desks in the back and found on that was priced at $1. It originally retailed at $299.

I will always bee-line to the clearance area in any store. I will also look for the scratch and dent.

2 months ago I bought a brand new crew cab 4x4 Nissan frontier that stickers at 29,200 for 21,900 after the dealer cash and haggling I did.

I save money by hardly ever buying anything new. There's plenty of people out there that always have to have the latest and greatest gadget or product, and I happily take their perfectly good old stuff off their hands for pennies on the dollar.

Had the same thing hapen when I worked at Sears as a kid. There were a few car audio amps that I found in the storage room that were originally sold for $199 that I picked up for $32 a piece. Bought all 6 I found, kept one and sold the rest for a tidy profit.

I agree with you on this point for some items.

We are remodeling our house so it made sense to get this range.

That is Great. People think I am crazy but I love to shop for cars.

Last summer I talked a dealer down a dealer down from $17,500 to 12,500 on a
2007 Toyota Camry SE with 27,500 miles on it. It was for my sister in law.
It was totaled when a lady hit her this spring. She ended up getting a $16,000 dollar check for it from her insurance company.

How does one learn to haggle?
