If not Luck...

While we may be in position to pick up Luck in the draft, my guess is we'll have a high pick, but maybe not the TOP pick. What about Landry Jones or Matt Barkley? Jones stock seems to be skyrocketing with every passing week, and Barkley's has always been relatively high. If we can't get Luck, I'd love to have one of these guys, especially Jones.

Isn't Barkley a junior who is expected to finish school and stay his senior year...better chances of being #1 next year?

I just want to at least attempt to draft a 1st round QB. Luck would be a wet dream come true.

There is no way in hell the Chiefs can outsuck the Seahawks.

How about Kelen Moore. Very accurate and makes good decisions. All he does is win games.

No to Landry or Barkley.

I have watched every OU game for the last decade. My OU friends and I comment on how "blah" Landry looks, but when they show the stat line we are amazed. It doesn't take long to figure out why he looks very average but puts up big numbers:

Landry is a QB that throws the short shit that his 4 and 5-star receivers turn into big plays.

Cassel is a QB that throws the short shit (rather inaccurately) that his WR's get blown up on.

I am scared of Barkley since he is a elite QB from and elite football school. How many of those guys actually turn out to be any good when they get to the NFL? Great NFL QB's fight for everything the get in college.

This. Kellen Moore is a midget that is generously listed at 6 feet tall.

What about Foles from Arizona? Some people speak highly of him. Just a thought in case we don't "Luck" out and get the #1 pick or if we are unwilling to give up what it takes to get Luck (which given Pioli's history we shouldn't expect the Chiefs to do that).

Why do say that? Another poster said that great NfL QBs fight for everything they get in college. I've watched almost every game More has played. The only downside I see is that he looks like Elway!:D

My #2 guy, though, admittedly, I haven't seen much of Jones. Barkley is too inconsistent for my taste.

It's Foles vs Luck tonight on ESPN at 8 PM Eastern, BTW.
