Next time just swallow.

It'll be easier for all involved.

LMAO

I love ya man...

All seriousness. You're going to have to go to the doc. You'll need anti-biotic eye drops or ointment.

What kind of infection is it?

This may sound stupid, I didn't believe it worked at first, but it does. Chamomile Tea works great for Rinsing out pink eye. Old Mexican Remedy, and it actually works.

Soak it like you're making tea, rinse your eye out with it maybe 2-3 times a day and it should clear up within a day or two.

Besides the antifreeze route, if it is a true infection you will have to see a physician or one of those nurse practioners at the drug stores/urgent clinics for an antibiotic ophthalmic drop/solution. The only things that are available OTC are products that help with the associated pain or redness.

If you have yellow discharge/crusty eyes when you wake up - you may just have pink eye. You can try using Visene 10-15 times a day and washing your hands religiously. I got pink eye the day before flying from Kuwait to Washington State --- beat it on the flight. If you wear contacts, switch to glasses until it clears up.

If it's not better within 3 days -- you definitely need to hit up the doctor.
