Stupid decisions ruin the NFL!

We are all big football fans on this forum. But there are some things I just hate about the game today! I say that the biggest problem in the league is how meaningless PR decisions have become a controlling factor for many teams, rather than commitments to teamwork and team development!

What am I talking about? Well...

I hate how so many teams just change QBs on a whim in the middle of a season to try to appease the fan base. They want to sell more tickets by looking like they're "DOING SOMETHING" and so they hurt the team by making random changes! Look at Washington, Oakland, Indianapolis and Denver. They are struggling to win, so instead of trying to improve by committing to teamwork and continuity, they randomly throw new QBs into the system and just hope something sticks.

This is stupid!

Everybody knows that you can't just sign a QB to a team and put him in five days later and magically expect that the team will improve. Do you remember during the lockout controversy, how Peyton Manning said that he wanted to make sure that long training camps and team activities were kept on the table? His reason for this was because he said it was absolutely necessary to maintain a high level of play! Practice and teamwork are much more important than individual talent! You can't just randomly keep putting new players in hoping that they will cause a spark! Sorry, but it just doesn't work that way! If you think it does, you are an ignorant fan!

The same is true for coaches. Why do teams stupidly fire their coach in the middle of the season, as if this will somehow bring an improvement? It doesn't! If a team happens to win a game after that, it's just luck!

I agree with your last sentence.

Never mind you edited it.

When owners are losing money, they want to create a spark. Your typical team leaders are your coach and your QB. If neither are getting the job done, they are replaced.

How is this not simple understanding?

Are you 11 years old or reeruned? Just asking. It's ok if you are either or both.

I'm not sure any coach should lose their jobs after the lockout. Too much bad football all aournd. Sparano shold just quit

Sure, I understand this and agree with it. But it is really dumb to do it when there is nothing to be gained! It is incomprehensible to change QBs week to week, or even half-to-half in a game. It makes sense to change QBs and coaches when they do not achieve results, but to aimlessly throw new QBs into the mix without practice and expecting success is just moronic! Firing and hiring new coaches without planning and teamwork is just idiotic!

It's just a pretend, PR version of the sensible decision!

Uh, Rex Grossman is terrible, Jason Campbell is hurt, Peyton Manning is hurt, and Tim Tebow is a first round draft pick replacing a guy who is having a horrible season and is most famous for having a neckbeard and partying with college chicks.

I don't understand how anyone could have a problem with any of those decisions.
