2011 College Football coaching changes thread

With the Urban Meyer story and a few others I figured I would start this thread.
@BFeldmanCBS:
Expect Rich Rodriguez to be named the next Arizona head coach in the next 48 hours according to sources.

Rumblings Texas going after Saban for 100 million. Not sure if the tweet was serious though.

Rumblings coming out of Texas like never before. K-St may have been the straw that broke the Longhorn back.
Nick wont leave Bama for Texas.
NICK/Take 4 steps backwards to coach Texas NEVER!
I wont be shocked at all to see a new head coach at Texas next year though.

I agree with that one. I think tha Mack is all but gone. Texas has too many advantages to be just average like they are right now.

Luckily CPR is all about ISU. Born and raised and his dad still lives there along with the rest of his family.. and since his mom just died recently he probably isn't bailing on his dad whos getting there also.. but that man still deserves to be paid.

Mack Brown stepping down

By Joe P. and Bart D. Co-founders

A trusted source has informed the Best Damn Poll in the Land that Texas head coach Mack Brown will step down as head coach of the football team at the end of this season.

Brown had recently become under fire for last season, where the Longhorns failed to make a bowl game for the first time in his career as coach. There were calls for him to step down to make way for coach-in-waiting Will Muschamp, who dropped the "waiting" part and bolted for Florida's vacancy.

His record overall is 223-109-1 and 137-35 at Texas. He also presided over a very successful run at North Carolina before Texas. He was also the head coach at Appalacian State and Tulane. He played football collegiately for Vanderbilt and Florida State. Brown has become well known in Texas for his charity work.
