Are there any players you think Haley handled wrong

I would like to stick to just players

I can only think of 3, people might have a problem with

1) Starting Thomas Jones over Jamaal Charles. Charles didn't seem to care

2) Benard Pollard. He couldn't choose a player over a coordinator(even Pendergast)

3)Chris Chambers. He set him & started less talented WRs. I don't even think Chambers is in the league anymore

Matt Cassel.

He should've been on the bench.

Actually, thats not really on Haley since thats all Pioli gave him. Stanzi is too raw most likely... and Palko, ugh.

Okie_Apparition 11-23-2011 01:16 PM

I think I'm going to trust him on Stanzi

Fansy the Famous Bard 11-23-2011 01:17 PM

Brian Waters.

He shouldn't have been released.

Okie_Apparition 11-23-2011 01:17 PM

That's hard to argue against(Cassel)

cmh6476 11-23-2011 01:20 PM

Kurt Warner

4) Starting/playing(edit) LJ over Charles. Charles was a turnover machine like Jackie Battle in preseason. I'm going to be in the minority on this one

I tend to agree, but I think he wouldn't be as good here as he has been in NE. I think the change of scenery helped him and Brady commands that line with a lot more confidence than Cassel

Micjones 11-23-2011 01:25 PM

I've never disagreed with the way Charles was handled.
The guy had 1,400 yards last season (at 6.4 yards per carry).
Not sure what else you want.

CoMoChief 11-23-2011 01:27 PM

I don't think he's handled cassel wrong.....I think cassel just sucks and shouldn't be an NFL starter

I agree. Unless the potential was there for him to crack 2k or something while avoiding injury which is hard to say. I do think there were a lot of times I would have rather had Charles in to pick up crucial 3rd or 4th downs, but the question in the OP seems a little more big picture than that.

"You can't turnover my football"
That should make a case for Palko's benching

The Franchise 11-23-2011 01:29 PM

Waters sucked last season. He didn't want to be here.

CoMoChief 11-23-2011 01:30 PM

BRich over Gaither
Waters release
Shaun Smith
Pope and O'Connell (shouldn't be playing...ever)
Mike Brown
Drafting DMC in the 2nd rd
The entire 2009 draft

This is the one that 1st came to mind for me. How could this have happened? Is Haley that bad of a talent evaluator? The team took off once LJ left.
