If RG3 wins Heisman, does that change your mind?

Call it superstition or stupidity, if Robert Griffin III ends up winning the Heisman, which I think he should, does that change your mind about drafting him?

I'm not saying I would pass on him, but there is a certain stigma with winning the Heisman and that stigma is that Heisman QB's rarely work out in the NFL. Whether it's just pure coincidence, which it is IMO, or a superstition you believe in, I know it's going to change some people's mind on him.

Or do you look past that nonsense and draft RG3 for the player you think he can be in the NFL?

suds79 12-08-2011 04:32 PM

No. Completely unrelated.

Bane 12-08-2011 04:32 PM

Nope.

Unlike most of those QBs, this guy can put the Wonderlick to shame.

Don't care what trophy, what school, or what curse an athlete supposedly carries along with him. If the situation is right, the boy has skills, it's a good fit, and he works hard then he'll get past the LSU lineman/Chiefs curse.

Yes because Heisman Trophy winning QBs is a good barometer of Future NFL success.

Heh. No. I call everybody in school a "boy". I should probably be more aware but I completely forgot he was a black guy.

there is no denying that there is a stigma with heisman trophy and nfl success. You can't be serious.

You asked if winning the Heisman should change anyone mind about drafting him. No it shouldn't and it won't. The college game and NFL game are completely different animals.

A stigma? Nah. Not at all. Some guys make it and some don't. The Heisman is just a popularity contest. It has virtually nothing do with with how they do in the NFL.

Premature. This is his first season.

Fact is, most Heisman winning QBs stink in the NFL. Purely coincidental, however.

Staubach and Plunkett are the only 2 who won SBs.
