Timetable to hire a HC...
Is it uncommon to hire a new HC outside of an organization prior to the end of the season?
I know in the presser, when asked about the hiring timetable, Clark responded with the whole "we are worried about winning the game this week, and then the next...and the next" answer. I ask because of the 'timing' aspect of the firing. I feel Pioli has someone on his short list and wants to get to them first before anyone else does. Funny how the Dolphins fired Tony a few hours later... ...is McDaniels THAT hot of a candidate? LMAO PS. We should trade Orton. :) |
We have the Rooney rule to contend with here.
I guess Romeo is getting his tryout for the remainder of the year. |
The Chiefs have definitely been in contact with candidates.

Yeah...I think with Romeo, we meet that rule over a cup of decaf coffee this evening... |

McDaniels a hot candidate. Heh.

I wonder if they replaced Haley before the end of the year was to give Crennel a try at it and to see if he is a legitimate possibility.
|
Well, considering Miami just fired their coach, Pioli better hire one quick.

January 10 to 15.

Crennel will coach next season

I think two options would be good.
Eric Mangini:The guy has had two shots as an NFL head coach and more than likely learned a lot. By all accounts he is a bright guy who fits the Pioli mold. Marty Schottenheimer/Brian- I think the father son combo would be a good move for Kansas City. Marty would straighten this ship up for a year or two, and then let Brian take over. |
