Lost dog in Topeka
I know there are several people on here that live in Topeka; hoping someone can help me out.
Our dog; Rock Chalk, took off on Christmas day and has not been seen since. I have put ads on craigslist, the newspaper, called the shelters etc. Still no word; have several friends helping on facebook, etc. I am hoping maybe someone here might know his whereabouts. I am worried someone "stole" him and decided to keep him for themselves. He is a great hunting dog but also a pet and my daughters are very upset he is gone. Any help will be very appreciated. He was last seen in the NE 62nd and Indian Creek area on Christmas day about 3pm. He has roamed the neighborhood before but always returned within a couple hours. He has a black radio collar (wireless fence that obviously failed). If you by chance have seen him please let me know! |

man, wish I could help you out but I'm on the opposite side of town. I'll send an email to a couple relatives I have out that way though.

:( I'm sorry to hear about your dog missing. Was he microchipped? If so, I would get the word out to local vets so they will scan any dog brought in that looks like your Rock Chalk. I hope you find him!

Hope you find him! Cute dawg. Great name for a dawg, too, BTW.

Yes he is micro-chipped. Have called all area vets; trying to turn over every rock.

He looks like a fine animal hope you get him back.
I just picked up one of my setters from the vet. Took my three males out hunting yesterday. It was a place I'd never hunted before and it was pretty rough. Anyways he impaled himself on some downed tree limbs or something and ended up with some puncture wounds. One of which was on his upper leg and arm pit area. An area where the vet couldn't do any surgery. He said there's so many blood vessles and nerve endings that run through this area that if he tried surgery the dog would bleed to death before he could get it all put back together. Apparently the puncture missed the clavian artery(something like that) because he didn't bleed to death overnight. He's going to be o.k. but last night when the vet told me he could die I was pretty upset. Like I said I hope you get your dog back. |
