I will be rooting for the Broncos

As a Chiefs fan I will be rooting for the Broncos this weekend since the AFC West is our division (I would never root for the Raiders). I must say though that I am embarrassed by the AFC West putting an 8-8 team forward as its division champion (for the second time in 4 years) with home field against a 12-4 wild card team. Something feels terribly wrong here. Perhaps we should can the Jaguars, Panthers and switch back to the 3 division conferences.

I will also be rooting for the Broncos; as a Pats fan, I want Pitt out. And it may happen. The Steelers have been averaging 10 PPG with Ben recently and his numbers are bad, and now Mendenhall is gone. I wouldn't be surprised with another Tebow Miracle (i.e. a 15-13 Denver win).

I guess I wouldn't be totally shocked if Denver won, but I would definitely be surprised.

I'll also root for Denver. I'll take the Bengals over the Steelers as the Pats opponent in the divisional round.

Don't get your hopes up, Pittsburgh had turned its offensive game plan even more toward the passing game this season; shouldn't change their game plan. Oh, and by the way, Tebow is dead meat with that defense's speed.

Note: Isaac Redmond will run for the Burg (he did put the ball on the ground 2x last week)

Bewbies 01-03-2012 08:55 AM

There is never a reason to root for Denver. Ever.

Nope. No way. Not gonna do it. Rooting for Denver means rooting for Tim Tebow. Tim Tebow winning would indeed add to the media hype. I'm sick of hearing about him, good or bad.

Yeah, if there was a team for them to face in Denver this week... as odd as it sounds, the Steelers at this point are a good prospect for an upset win. Defensively, they're a beast and will create a ton of issues. Offensively, Ben is hobbled, Mendenhall is out... and Denver's defense has shown they can play at a high level.

So, it could be an ugly game, but I'm never really betting against Big Ben - the guy is a stud. If Denver wins, I'll be shocked - but I am hoping to be shocked. It's all I can do really. :thumb:

Prior to their bye... PITT was giving up 20+ points a game, but since then (6 games) only 1 team has broken 9 points scored (49ers scored 20).

In the last 6 games, they've scored 13 @ KC ... 14 and 13 each vs the Browns - while blowing out CIN and STL and losing to the 49ers.

Offensively, I think it's a good matchup for Denver's defense and it will be all on Denver's defense to keep this low scoring.

Denver has to do what they've been doing in the ground game, but they have to pass more often early to keep them honest. It won't be easy and it's likely going to be frustratingly ugly for Denver fans.

Dear Lord baby Jesus, lyin' there in your ghost manger, just lookin' at your Baby Einstein developmental videos, learnin' 'bout shapes and colors. I would like to thank you for bringin' Tebow and Broncos together, and also that my kids no longer sound like reeruned gang-bangers.

Molitoth 01-03-2012 09:13 AM

I'm so sick of hearing about Tebow that I'd like for the donks to lose.

YET, it would be nice for the donks to THINK that Tebow is their future after he wins them a playoff game. I would love years of Tebow because he sucks (just like Fatmarcus Russel)

I'm torn.

Pasta Little Brioni 01-03-2012 09:15 AM

Tebow may not even complete a pass.
