Macau China

Has anybody ever been? It's the Las Vegas of Asia. And gaming revenues actually dwarf LV but most ppl haven't heard of it. Looking for any ideas of where to stay and what one would expect to spend for a 1-2 week jaunt for flight and hotel.

Didn't George Allen visit briefly in 2008?

Msmith 01-07-2012 01:58 PM

My family went there last June. A nice place to visit. You don't have to shell a lot of money to enjoy a place like this, if you decide not to gamble.

I believe that would be Macaca.

Also, you don't want to gamble outside the states. That includes Indian casinos. They cheat like mother****ers, and there's nothing you can do about it.

I feel like that could be turned into a joke with a really quick punch line.

If you are comfortable being around 100,000 Asian people who smoke like fiends, play many games you won't know and feel like you are in a gangster kung fu movie, you will like it. I took the Hydrofoil from Hong Kong around 7 years ago and wouldn't trade Vegas for this place. I hear it's a little better these days. A day trip from Hong Kong should be enough for 99% of everyone here.

watch your corn hole and kidneys....

Asian people all look the same

Phobia 01-07-2012 05:26 PM

I wouldn't go there if I were certain I'd win $20k. I don't mind westernized Asians but something about those languages and their broken English grates on my every last nerve. I'd rather listen to 2 months of Spanish gibberish than 2 minutes of any Asian dialect.

I hear once you get done gambling there you want to go back and play some more an hour later.

Are you a white male going without a woman? If so, youre gonna love that place. They'll treat you like a King. Theyll make sure you have your drink, food and whatever else you want (wink wink) before any woman. Apparently theres a hotel, not sure which one, that has an entire floor dedicated to getting whatever you want...ask around if you are going alone. If you are taking a wife or GF, prepare for her to be somewhat offended in how blatant they are in making sure you are taken care of before her. Your drink will come before hers, not even at the same time. And tip only a dollar or so, not 18%-20%, unless you want a rim job.

Stay at the Wynn Macau. Its beautiful.
