McDaniels wants the Chiefs, and wants them bad from what I'm told.

He views New England as a place where his resume won't grow to be a HC. It's a spot where he's destined to be a long time. Safe and secure, yes, but no risk/reward.

He comes here, and does well, he'll have opportunities, including this one when Rac retires.

The plot is going to thicken. It's no coincidence that Pioli put out that Romeo is staying on the same day that McDaniels was just about signed to NE.

Because he has a hard-on for Cassel, which is the main thing holding this team back from a good football team, head coach doesn't matter, the QB does.
